Vera’s experts conduct research and analysis and develop policies and programs in a variety of criminal and social justice fields. Their varied knowledge, background, and experience enable Vera to address the full spectrum of national and local justice issues.
A CCF Fellow once herself, Vivian Nixon is now the executive director of College and Community Fellowship (CCF), an organization committed to removing individual and structural barriers to higher education for women with criminal record histories and their families. She currently serves as an associate minister at Mt. Zion AMEC in New York City and is a Columbia University Community Scholar. Rev. Nixon holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York Empire College.
