Charmel Gaulden has over 10 years of administrative, fiscal, and programmatic expertise in the public safety sector. Licensed in both Georgia and Louisiana, Ms. Gaulden has practiced law in both state and federal courts. Her direct practical experience includes her tenure as the staff attorney for the Dougherty Judicial Circuit, as well as various leadership positions within the criminal justice field. Ms. Gaulden served as an adjunct instructor at Albany State University, teaching criminal evidence and courtroom procedure, constitutional procedure in criminal justice, and juvenile delinquency. She is deeply interested in initiatives that use evidence-based best practices to improve systems. Ms. Gaulden received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Xavier University of Louisiana and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia.
