Vera’s experts conduct research and analysis and develop policies and programs in a variety of criminal and social justice fields. Their varied knowledge, background, and experience enable Vera to address the full spectrum of national and local justice issues.
Becky is a Senior Program Associate for Vera's Center on Sentencing and Corrections. She is a lawyer who practiced in the litigation department of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP before joining Vera. At Cravath, she was co-counsel with the Legal Aid Society and the Urban Justice Center representing a class of state prisoners and parolees with psychiatric disabilities who alleged Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) violations in their discharge planning process and post-release supervision. She holds a BA with honors in history from Yale University and a JD magna cum laude from Fordham Law School, where she served on the Fordham Law Review and was elected to Order of the Coif.
